Liverpool Metropolitan Catholic Cathedral

In 1959 a competition was held to design a new Catholic Cathedral for Liverpool . The winning design was by Frederick Gibberd and was built between 1962 -67 . The design is modern and circular with a lantern tower rising from the centre.
